6/01/10 - It was brought to my attention that the contact forms on PencilsandPixelsArt.com suddenly stopped working, and they have been down for several days. It seemed to be caused by changes in the hosting service security. The forms are now working properly. If you submitted any form within the last week, it was not received. Please resubmit or send an e-mail to pencilsandpixelsart@yahoo.com.

Also, a 3rd party script was severely slowing the loading of the home page. It caused the page to appear blank for several minutes before finally loading. That has also been repaired.

7/7/09 - New celebrity art work posted - Halle Berry .

Rather than using just graphite for this portrait, I created it using graphite, carbon, pastel chalk, and gold colored pencil. Drawn on Fabriano Tiziano 40% cotton drawing paper in an earth tone. Original size is 9.5×13.5. I posted this on Red Bubble and Fine Art America earlier this month, but just found time to upload her portrait here on my site. 2/13/09 - I recently completed an original art work entitled "Curious Mermaid". For the first time, I have an original artwork available in two different versions. The first is a graphite and white pastel chalk version. This is the fully completed drawing as it looked before I added color. The second is the finished color version which has been shaded with pastel chalk. This was drawn on a blue-gray tinted paper.

Both versions are available for sale as prints.

2/05/09 - I am very excited my drawing of Sean Connery has been featured 5 times in different groups on Red Bubble! Currently Sean Connery's portrait is featured in the Pencil Drawing group and *Admit One-Movie Art* group. Groups that previously featured it include the "Real" Life Art group, Fan Frenzy group, and the James Bond 007 group. The James Bond 007 group also used his portrait as the image for their current art challenge.

In addition, my original art work "Sasha" is also currently featured in the Works on Paper group.

2/04/09 - The new look of PencilsandPixelsArt.com is makes it's debut today! There have been lots of changes to make the site more user friendly and offer some new services. Read my blog post to learn more!
